GOD SPEAKS

Surely the Lord God does nothing unless He reveals His secret counsel to His servants the prophets. Amos 3:7

RESPECT HIS ANOINTED!

RESPECT HIS ANOINTED!

People are carving for identify and praises from the people in the churches. They do not prefer sufferings, pains which their preceding Man of God faced but after a church reaches its own identify and reputation, they seek good posts in the churches. They never take role in development of the church but crave for their own identify. They might have been granted talents by the Lord but they can never be used by the Lord unless they follow his mind.

Let us see whom God uses:

Case 1:

The LORD render to every man his righteousness and his faithfulness: for the LORD delivered thee into my hand to day, but I would not stretch forth mine hand against the LORD’S anointed. 1 Samuel 26:23
David had respect towards king Saul. We know King Saul’s attitude towards David was evil and tried to kill him. Though David had chances to kill King Saul, he never dared to kill him. David is a man after God’s own heart. As it is written-” to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will. Acts 13: 22″. A man after God’s heart never dares to harm an anointed man of God. Killing Saul would be an opportunity to David to become a king. But David never aspired for these methods of men. He waited for God to make him a king. Some people in the churches want to be identified as great by the other believes in the church and use methods of men to do service of the Lord. They deny others and consider themselves as special talented. Remember, God uses people after his heart who respects his anointed people.

Case2:

Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying, Joshua 1: 1. Joshua was Mose’s minister. This was a testimony from our Lord himself. He respected Moses as man of God. He never desired for the place of Moses. “And Moses rose up, and his minister Joshua: and Moses went up into the mount of God. And he said unto the elders, Tarry ye here for us, until we come again unto you: and, behold, Aaron and Hur are with you: if any man have any matters to do, let him come unto them. Exodus 24: 13-14”. He was with Moses when he went up into the mount of God. Moses did fasting forty days and night. What about Joshua? Though it is not clear whether Joshua did fasting for 40 days, he was there with Moses. Joshua respected the Man of God and obeyed anointed Moses. God chose Jashua as next leader. You may see he himself did not choose this office. God choose those who respect his anointed.

Case3:

And he ran unto Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou calledst me. And he said, I called not; lie down again. And he went and lay down. 1 Samuel 3: 5
Samuel was an obedient man of God. From the above verse, you may see Samuel RAN unto Eli. When Samuel heard the voice of God, he thought the man of God Eli was calling him. You may see it is during the late night he ran unto his Man of God Eli. Running tells us he has due respect towards the anointed. Do we respond immediately to the calling of any anointed man? Nay, rather we murmur but prefer to occupy his office! God chooses obedient and respecting people.

Case4:

So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him.1 Kings 19: 19. Elijah was directed by the Lord to anoint Elijah. Elisha left all he had. He was a richman and was plowing the field. His nature was hard working , sacrificing all he had for the Lord and respecting the Man of God. He also followed Elijah like Joshua followed Moses. This is the reason it is written “And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said unto him, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Bethel.2 Kings 2: 2” He did not want to leave his man of God. He had respect towards the man of God.

Therefore, if you-

(a) respect and be obedient to the anointed men of God
(b) do not want to leave the men of God
(C) industrious in nature
(d) are willing to sacrifice all you have for the Lord
(e) do not use your own methods to occupy the important posts in His office,
surely God shall choose you in his work.
